First, I want to say thanks to all of the Droknars rushers... You have made PVE and moron PUGs less annoying for me the second and third times through.

I looked up a definition of cheating... and I would say it is borderline. It is taking an advantage over other players but it isn't breaking any rules. I played through the first time without a rush and did all of the desert missions and ascended my mesmer with ascalon armour. I saved gold and materials and paid my own way to Droknars. I don't feel like wasting my time collecting avicara scalps for 39AL armor.

Let's imagine ANET didn't put Lornars in... some guilds will still be rushing characters through all of Maguuma and the Desert as level ones just so they can go back to the level 10 arenas and "pwn noobs"..... because they are petty griefers like that...

I did the level 10 arenas last night with my new char from early lvl 9 to level 11. My final group got over 20 wins. There was another group I faced several times over the course of 3/4 hours that I overheard them say they had over 100 wins and It was probably true. Our best effort vs them was with 3/4 people in Droks armor (they were 4/4 I'm sure).. we were close but not strong enough. I would not complain if ANET did something to make Drok armor less of an advantage in these arenas.. but I think there are other things that are much more important, like improving the economy, adding PVE areas, and improving Faction (did you read Fansite Friday 52.. Something about it has me really hopeful).

Anyhow, I don't feel bad overall for going into the level 10 arenas with my endgame armor. You do remember that these are random groupings right? Even if the other 7 players all have ascalon armor my team can still lose. If a new player had questions or needed advice, I helped them. Sure I felt bad when I killed that new player in 3 hits, but I didn't stand over his corpse shouting " HAHAHAHAHAZ I PWNED JOO N00B!!!!1"

The new players have their chance to play through the game and play real, balanced PVP in Halls or GvG.. or save money and do the same thing I did. I only made about 700 faction... sure that is nothing compared to some good GVG. The lowbie arena is to give new players a taste of PVP not be the apex of competition.. that is the HOH.

If you take your char in with ascalon armor and you know 2 people on your team have Droks armor and the whole team of opponents do not, are you going to quit out? Doubt it. Groups are random... I say runners and the arena are just fine how they are right now.

Groups are random, what if you get stuck on a group without Droknar rushers, vs. a group with 2 or 3? Yeah, THAT will be a fun fight. And you won't know until you're dead, and you'll realize that you just wasted your time. You'll play again, thinking maybe the next time you'll have better luck, but chances are, you won't. It's really crappy.

DANG ....i must be one heck of a cheater...i had a lvl 1 in droknars....but thats after i beat the game 2 times legit ....i just wanted to see wat i could do ....so i got rushed for the first time all the way to droknars

i see alot of you guys crying about runners and someone being run to droknars. well stop crying about it, coz you cant do anything about it. i ran my friends and they ran me so what. sure we have elite skills at lvl 5+ and droknars armor its mainly for pve . if we do play in pvp well if you killed one of us do you feel special? DO YOU? so stop crying about it and just play the game.

Well I don't see what the big deal is if people make it to droknars forge via the short cut.

I mean if Anet did not want anyone to get the armor early then there would NOT be a path to the area to take that goes around ascension. its very hard to come down that path and if one person can do it then they deserve to be rewarded. the droknar's armor IS a nice reward.

as for runners, well like I have stated in other threads, I don't run, and I haven't been ran before. I really don't care if someone does it though.

some characters (like my pure healing monk) have little to no offence abilities. when I play that char I have to rely on my henchies or team mates to do all the fighting and protect me. for me to solo its almost impossible. sure i could turn to smiting but I haven't wanted to. Im a healer. some of the chars are nothing more than support characters, and really don't solo well. I can see why some people might be willing to pay to be ran places they are having a hard time getting to. even more so if they don't have the time to play like some of us.
